Indonesia Donates $2 Million to Japan
The Government of Indonesia to provide assistance of two million dollars or about Rp18 billion to Japan hit by earthquake and tsunami.
“Indonesia to provide aid worth two million dollars to Japan to help emergency conditions by the earthquake and tsunami and it is still possible to provide greater assistance” said Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa in Jakarta on Wednesday (16/3/2011) as quoted by Metro TV.
Help is still for temporary disaster emergency for post-disaster phase such as for construction and development still has the potential to be given.
This was conveyed in a press conference accompanied by Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Makiko Kikuta visiting Indonesia to attend the ASEAN Regional Disaster Relief Forum (ARF DIREX) in Manado and the meeting of the Metropolitan Priority Area (MPA) in Jakarta.
